Painting Of Black Square No.013

A dense cluster of black paint, worked entirely in palette-knife strokes, rises from the center of the canvas like a shadow caught mid-movement. There's no other color anywhere in the piece — just black on black, with all the interest coming from the ridges, glossy patches, and raw edges the knife leaves behind. It's a black square painting built entirely on texture rather than composition.

This one holds up well at scale and rewards close viewing, since the surface only reveals its full complexity up close. Good for a room that already leans dark and tactile — think leather, walnut, matte black fixtures — where this piece becomes the quiet anchor.
